1. Overview
Book4Ad is an online newspaper advertisement booking platform operated by B2C Advertisers. We facilitate advertisement bookings with various newspaper publishers across India.
Since newspaper advertisements are scheduled according to strict publication deadlines, cancellation and refund requests are subject to this policy and the individual policies of the respective newspaper publishers.
2. Cancellation Before Processing
An advertisement may be cancelled before it has been processed or forwarded to the newspaper.
Cancellation requests must be submitted through:
- Customer Support
- WhatsApp (registered support number)
Cancellation requests should include:
- Booking ID
- Registered mobile number
- Customer name
- Reason for cancellation
3. Cancellation Charges
If a cancellation request is received before the advertisement has been processed, Book4Ad may deduct:
- payment gateway charges (if applicable)
- applicable taxes
- administrative processing charges
Where applicable, cancellation charges may be up to 5% of the booking value, subject to a minimum processing fee.
4. Cancellation After Processing
Once the advertisement has been:
- approved,
- processed,
- forwarded to the newspaper,
- or scheduled for publication,
cancellation will depend entirely upon the newspaper publisher's policy.
Book4Ad will make reasonable efforts to assist the customer but cannot guarantee cancellation after the advertisement enters the publisher's production process.
5. Advertisement Already Published
No cancellation or refund is possible once an advertisement has been published.
6. Missed Publication
If an advertisement is not published due to reasons solely attributable to the newspaper publisher, the customer may be eligible for one of the following, subject to publisher confirmation:
- rescheduling of the advertisement, or
- refund of the amount received from the publisher.
GST and payment gateway charges may not be refundable where already remitted to statutory authorities or payment processors.
7. Incorrect Advertisement Content
Customers are responsible for carefully reviewing the advertisement preview before confirming the booking.
Book4Ad shall not be responsible for errors including but not limited to:
- spelling mistakes
- names
- addresses
- phone numbers
- dates
- pricing
- email addresses
- website URLs
Once approved by the customer, corrections may not be possible if the advertisement has already been sent to the newspaper.
8. Advertisement Editing
If the advertisement has not yet been submitted to the newspaper, customers may request changes.
Additional charges may apply where:
- advertisement size changes,
- category changes,
- publication changes,
- language translation,
- artwork redesign,
- or revised newspaper pricing applies.
9. Scheduled Advertisements
Advertisements booked for future publication dates may be rescheduled only before the applicable newspaper deadline.
Rescheduling is subject to:
- newspaper availability,
- revised pricing,
- publisher approval.
10. Mandatory Documents
Certain advertisement categories require supporting documents as prescribed by newspaper publishers or applicable law.
Examples include:
- Matrimonial
- Recruitment
- Property
- Education
- Healthcare
- Financial Services
- Legal Notices
- Public Notices
Failure to provide required documents before the publisher's deadline may result in:
- rejection of the advertisement,
- postponement,
- cancellation without refund of applicable processing costs.
11. Duplicate Payments
Where duplicate payments are successfully received for the same booking, the excess payment will be refunded after verification.
No cancellation charges will apply for verified duplicate payments.
12. Refund Processing
Approved refunds will normally be processed within 7–15 business days.
Actual credit timelines depend upon:
- banks,
- credit card issuers,
- UPI providers,
- payment gateways.
Refunds will ordinarily be made through the original payment method used during booking.
13. Non-Refundable Charges
The following amounts may not be refundable where already incurred:
- GST remitted to Government
- Payment gateway charges
- Bank transaction charges
- Creative design charges
- Translation charges
- Value-added services specifically requested by the customer
14. Prohibited Advertisements
Book4Ad reserves the right to refuse advertisements that violate applicable laws or publisher policies, including advertisements relating to:
- illegal activities
- misleading or fraudulent claims
- obscene or offensive material
- hate speech
- prohibited products or services
- copyright infringement
- unlawful financial schemes
Any refund in such cases shall be at Book4Ad's discretion after deducting applicable processing charges.
15. Force Majeure
Book4Ad shall not be liable for delays, postponements, or cancellation arising from circumstances beyond reasonable control, including:
- natural disasters
- strikes
- government restrictions
- technical failures
- cyber incidents
- newspaper production issues
- public emergencies
16. Governing Law
This policy shall be governed by the laws of India.
Any disputes arising out of this policy shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts at Hyderabad, Telangana.
17. Changes to this Policy
Book4Ad reserves the right to modify this Cancellation & Refund Policy at any time.
The latest version published on the website shall apply to all future bookings.
